Quoddy Paediatric Bed

Product Code: QUODDY

The Quoddy is a fully profiling paediatric bed designed to support, be fun and grow with the child. The Quoddy grows and expands to 3 different lengths to correlate with the growth of the child: starting at 152cm (60’’), then growing to 168cm (66’’) and finally finishing at 183cm (72’’). The high/low and fully profiling movements of the Quoddy are ideal for any children living with chest problems.

The safety and comfort of the child when sleeping are two of the main key benefits that the Quoddy bed are designed for. The Quoddy can also come with bed rails that will help keep the children safe in their beds, regardless of the height setting of the bed. Other features available include padding, a mattress, head and foot bumpers and bed rails to further increase the security and comfort of the child and give the parents peace of mind. The length of the Quoddy is easy to adjust for the child, the parent just needs to unbolt and extend the bed to the appropriate size.

The Quoddy bed can be designed beyond its practical features; the appearance of the Quoddy bed is highly customisable to match the interests of the child and the aesthetics of the bedroom. The theme and colour of the bed can be personalised with a wide variety of options for the child and parent to choose from, allowing for a bright, vibrant and visually appealing look and a design the child can really enjoy.

“They have truly made a difference to not only the boys’ quality of sleep but by connection (extension), mine too. The beds are not only comfortable but entirely practical. both my twins have chronic chest problems and so it is absolutely necessary for them to have a profiling bed that tilts and allows their chest to be at an optimum position. This has improved their sleeping. Being able to control the positioning of the top end of the bed is beneficial but being able to control the other side has also been invaluable. The twins have serial casting on their legs every six months and being able to take the pressure off their heels by adjusting the bed helps them to achieve a comfortable position. It is also extremely useful that I can adjust the height of the beds so that when they do wake at night I can kneel at the side of the beds and not have to bend over. This has undoubtedly helped my back pain too.

The safety features, particularly the side rails ensure the bboys are always secure in their beds whatever height they are set to. This, in turn, gives me and my husband better, worry-free nights.

Quite apart from the practical and medical benefits, I love the fact that the beds look like normal beds. The customised head and foot boards mean that the beds go stylishly in the boys’ bedrooms. I also love that the beds will grow with the boys, that they aren’t lost in big beds now but that their beds will grow, not just once, but twice, meaning that sleeping arrangements are something that we don’t have to worry about for years to come.”

‘Very easy to use’

Cheryl, Mum of Malik Sincalir

At first sight the Quoddy looks amazing. With personalised head boards and bright colours, it fits in perfectly in a little girls room. The height adjustability is ideal for allowing our daughter to be able to self transfer safely and with the simple safeguards, we are confident that she cannot roll off the bed (even when she likes to sleep up high). With the ability to sit up means she is no longer reliant on us to get her up in the morning and we often find her sat up and reading a story in the mornings. Whilst the tilt function allows us to raise her when she gets a very chesty cough so she can enjoy a good night’s sleep. And that’s not to mention the easily wipe-able mattress for the little accidents in the Night.
